I Miss Florida

Written on August 25, 2025, for a class discussion post, but it was more than that for me.

Summer has always been my season, and Orlando, Florida has always encapsulated Summer for me. I’ve only been there maybe three or four times in my life, and I only remember the recent ones, but I love it nonetheless. The scenery and sense of adventure fuel my creativity and warm my heart every vacation we take there. Universal and Disney World make me feel like a kid again, while late night shopping and swimming bring me such a sense of peace and relaxation. If I’m being honest, as much as I’d miss my family and friends, I could see myself living there in the future. If I don’t, though, it’ll still be a beautiful, and my favorite, vacation spot. Every trip to Orlando, Florida, as crowded as it may be in the Summer, allows me to empty myself of stress and refill my creativity and childlike wonder. What place makes you feel like a kid again?
